For story subject matter and plot, I would give it five stars. I only gave it three because of the author's excessive reliance on spell-check without thought of word meaning and splitting compound words into two words. For example, a black smith can be a black person named Smith, however as the author intended, blacksmith is a person who works with metal. Compound words should never be broken into two or more words. The author needs to learn the difference between TO, TOO and TWO, and not to use 'TO' in place of 'TOO', the difference between 'YOU'RE' and 'YOUR' and where to use them correctly, the difference between 'THERE', 'THEIR' and 'THEY'RE'. There are numerous places where these words were substituted for each other. The other thing about spell-check is that it will suggest a word spelled differently with an entirely different meaning, and if an author inadvertently uses a sound alike word with an entirely different meaning than he intended, spell-check won't catch it because it is spelled correctly. There are frequent punctuation mistakes where a coma would have clarified sentence meaning. All in all, the book is a very fine read marred by the above mistakes. Things like this slow the readers reading speed and are glaring distractions that causes the reader (at least this reader) to question the authors literacy. Mr. Weil need not feel alone; I find these types of mistakes in all kinds of books, newspapers and magazines anymore, and it is a very disturbing trend. It's as if our schools aren't teaching proper use of grammar and spelling anymore, and it makes me feel like wanting to take the inventor of spell-check out and shoot him/her. When spell-check came out is when all these types of mistakes became widespread. I have deleted stories in the past before finishing them because they were rife with these types of mistakes and it was just too distracting. Notice I used "TOO" right instead of "TO" as is frequently found in stories. He also doesn't seem to know the difference between "wonder" and "wander". "He wondered down the path".

Dragon Dreams Gilmreth the Awakening eBook Raymond L Weil Frank MacDonald Reviews

Had trouble putting it down! I have read all three of Weil's Dragon books and am looking forward to the next one.
Wonderful book with lively characters and believable plot in which good wins but only after a struggle.I highly recommend it to all fantasy readers.
I enjoyed the story. Characters were great and developed well. It looks like the end of the series. I would enjoy more of this story line. Keep up the good writing!!
Great story, I felt like I was right there in the story with them. Made me to NOT want to put the down.
I love any books with dragons in them and this one was just great. I've already gotten the next book and am looking forward to reading that. Can't wait.
This is an entertaining story. The characters are well developed in this book. I have enjoyed this book more than the first one in this series. The slaver series remains my favorite from Mr Weil.
Not a story I had anticipated from Raymond Weil, but it was readable. A little slow in parts, more like a Little House On The Prairie in places. I always liked stories about Dragons, like Dragon Heart. Take a break from space, it will hold your attention.
