Author has got this so spectacularly wrong. So much potential and good writing that is totally messed up with the vomit of his casual adultery after her miscarriage and then he tries to blame h for it. Just when reader pulls thru the blame game, twisted BF plays her psychotic game and it was all too much. I wanted this novel to stay up in the star ratings because SC does absorbing job on MIL and h's BF Natasha. It kept me riveted - who is going to be the villain-tress? The tension was that good, I had to discipline myself not to cheat peek at the end. Several times as the plot thickened! And I did appreciate that the issue of the miscarriage/adultery is out in the open early in the story. I'm stick of HPs where over half the story line is in the h's head and the affair tip-toed around until the last few pages. Give me a story where it's all out early and you know there is still a twist or two. However, reviewers are right about H's shallow attitude that OW was a better offer than what he wasn't getting at home - goodness me. His wife has just had a mis-carriage!! Author made a big mistake with this adultery when the couple are still married and living together. H's blame game was on the nose and this finally brought down the 4 stars I started with to 1 star.
I did like this story better than I expected from the reviews because the character development was done without alpha sneering/jeering and family is exceptionally supportive. Insightful words from uncle to h - "your aim is making a home, having a family with the man you love......But Ross, I think, only wants you. And that is not the same thing at all" Such a shame author messed up and tried to justify H's poke on the side. Too much.

Description from the book back cover
Jenna is happy to be her cousin's bridesmaid, but she wishes someone had warned her that the best man is going to be dynamic photojournalist Ross Grantham. The man she once exchanged marriage vows with - in the very same church! It's been two years since she last saw him, two years since Ross betrayed their vows. Can they call a truce for the bride's sake? And what about their own marriage - and the bewitching sexual desire that still has her and Ross in its grip?
this is a horrible book she loses a baby he cheats on her they get back together after she forgives and forgets and accepts all the blame on herself if i could rate lower then a one star i would i will definatly never read this again and i advise any one else out there thinking about it to not waste your time or money
Sara Craven has written many, many excellent books. I was looking forward to reading this. Unfortunately, this one didn't appeal to me. I didn't care for Ross. It seems that things about Jenna that made him fall in love with her, her innocence for one, also made him back away from her.
I also didn't care for his character. According to him, he slept with one woman -- even though he didn't like her -- because he found her in his bed (before he was married). He slept with another woman, after he was married, because his marriage was in trouble and this woman was kind to him.
I can't imagine a happily ever after for them. The next time there are bumps in their marriage (and there will be -- since no relationship is perfect), he'd probably find another excuse to sleep with someone else.
I'll continue to read Sara's books -- since she is such a great writer. But, save yourself some money and skip this one.
This story is unbelievable! I didn't like the heroine for taking the blame for the breaking of the marriage and the hero... well, what can I say but "what a SCHMUCK!" He wants to talk and get back together AFTER the divorce (and some years) because they have some unsolved issues!!!! He put the blame for the cheating not entirely on the heroine, but nearly and the stupid woman took it!! Instead of asking him "what would you have done if I looked for solace and "understanding" with some other nice guy???!!!" Men like these always think that the world revolves around them! Get real!!
No woman with self respect would take this chauvinistic pig back!!!
Read, forgot about it and re-read again; disliked it both times for worthless, waste of space toxic hero and heroine. Not to mention a best friend that falls in the category of "With friends like these who needs enemies."
What I remember most is the h is bridesmaid for her cousin, and in her fury, pain, EMOTIONS about seeing the H makes the rehearsal and wedding all about her. The long-suffering cousin should have been the heroine.
Oh, I see. Sara Craven.
