CRASH An Evil Dead MC Story The Evil Dead MC Series Book 2 edition by Nicole James Romance eBooks
I am kicking myself for not buying this whole set right away ! I loved the first story but this one was better and I'm getting the next as soon as I finish this review. This author has a great style. The story is full bodied and just when I was afraid it was going to wind down it built again... multi climax for sure lol. It was awesome. Some writers do stories with one main theme or action but this was taking me through many journeys and touching different lives and pulling different emotions from me. I hope there is a full book written on every character of this mc. I'd buy them all !

CRASH An Evil Dead MC Story The Evil Dead MC Series Book 2 edition by Nicole James Romance eBooks Reviews
I have to laugh because when I reviewed Outlaw, I said that there may have been too many twists and turns. I just finished Crash and I spent 70% of that book wondering when the action was going to start. It was an excruciatingly slow buildup and I spent most of it thinking that Shannon was TSTL. Why do I say that? She is supposedly hiding out from her super horrible but very rich and powerful ex, hiding out with an outlaw MC, but doesn't bother to tell the MC who she's hiding out from, letting them assume it's a 20 something jerk. Of course Cole and Crash don't bother to demand the name of the ex so it's kind of on them too.
Once she is under the protection of Crash, nothing happens. Page after page of nothing, even nothing between the sheets. It as a good plot, I still like the characters from Outlaw, but I don't want to read about their daily lives. I want action with a few breathers on between. Seriously for 70% of the book! it's like the bad guy doesn't exist. If you didn't want to bring him up until later, at least have a MC war with Big Ed, but he wasn't mentioned until the last part of the book either.
Another issue is the fact she's really rich, this is brought up as a stumbling block because Crash is not, but it's never really resolved. There is an HEA, but it's an HEA that ignores that particular stumbling block. The last 30% of the book was great. It saved this from a 2 star rating. Book one was too much, book 2 was too little, I'm hoping book 3 will be just right.
Ever read a book and got so "into" it that you didn't want it to end ? I know ..weird right? That's the way I felt about this one. The best MC book I have read yet. Crash is so smoking HOT not just physically but on the inside too. This is a bad boy that really knows how to treat a "special" woman. I have to disagree with one of the reviews that said Crash was too unrealistic to be a Outlaw biker. I thought the portrayal of Crash was spot on. Why can't a bad ass on the outside have a tender side? Makes for some fantastic reading. I loved Shannon as much as I did Angel in the other MC Series .
And loved Crash more than Cole . This one will be read again and again !! Kudos to Nicole James . This is a must read !!!!
This is the 2nd book in the Evil Dead MC series and I like this one much better. Outlaw was good but not particularly original, but Crash was great! First, I just loved Crash! Maybe a little too alpha dog but the way he treated Shannon was so sweet and tender, he was always there for her even when she was being a butt face. He, along with some of the other MC's are hilarious!
I liked Shannon, although at times she seemed clueless and a bit dense. The author did a good job detailing Shannon's struggle with PTSD & Crash's attempts to help her thru it. There is a part near the end of the book where I was really pissed with Shannon for the way she was treating Crash, but given the circumstances, her reaction was realistic (even tho I didn't like it).
The chemistry between the two of them was great and it was wonderful watching them slowly fall for each other, even when they both didn't know it yet. In some ways, the differences in their background made it unrealistic that they would be together, but it's such a great story and the characters are so wonderful, who cares readers are willing to stretch the boundaries of reality if the story is well told.
The plot was also much better in this book, there was more attention to the details of how Crash came to be who he was and a lot more about the MC and who the various people were. At times I became a little frustrated with the focus on the secondary characters, particularly toward the end of the book and was tempted to skip ahead to get back to Crash and Shannon. The author is clearly setting up the reader for future books with various characters she has a whole host of folks to pick from but I especially want to hear Wolf's, Green's and Mack's story.
The only gripe I have is the story strayed from Crash and Shannon a little too much and the book was a little long. I am definitely buying the next two books Wolf is featured in book 4 (which is how I ended up buying the first book in the series Wolf was on sale but I'd rather read all the books in a series than start in the middle) so I can't wait to read his tale!
I am so enjoying this series and have put this author on my auto buy list..The passion and chemistry between Shannon and Crash is intense and slow building(and when it happens WOW). There is suspense and violence but it does not overtake the story. It's what's between the romance and the violence that I love and think is brilliantly done, the hysterical dialogue between all the characters, especially the second at characters. You know when you start reading a series you can't put down, don't want to miss a single paragraph and when you get interrupted for some reason you can't wait to back to it. Well this is one of those series the one where you miss the characters and their world when you done and set it aside to read again..THIS is one of those books and series...Highly recommend.
